(1767 - 1845) Seventh President of the United States, "Old Hickory" became a national hero in his defense of New Orleans and as president encouraged Western expansion and paid off the national debt. Partly-printed D.S. "Andrew Jackson" as President, 1p. folio parchment, Washington, Nov. 1, 1830, a grant of a 91-acre tract of land near Steubenville, Ohio to one Mordecai Moore, signed at bottom in black ink. Jackson's signature is a tad light, about a 6/10, yet entirely and easily legible, usual folds, else very good.
