Excavated seven-pound cannonball, approx. 3 1/2" dia., with wound mount bearing a vintage typed label giving provenance: "This 7 pound cannon ball was found in the bed of a streem that flows through the field in front of the HENRY HOUSE where on JULY 21st, 1861, GENERAL THOMAS JONOTHAN JACKSON RECEIVED HIS 'SOBERIQUE' of 'STONEWALL' FOUND ON THIS BULL RUN BATTLEFIELD ON JULY 5th, 1934 by DEAN RICHMOND. [all sic]" The projectile is in relic condition, the display very good overall.
