The archive is accompanied by a guide booklet, "Civil War Photographs 1861-1865", ed. Hirst D. Milhollen and Donald H. Mugridge (Washington, D.C.: Library of Congress), 1961, 74pp. 8vo., a catalog of the collection organized by subject, and listing the location, subject and date of capture for each image. The slides are housed in eleven boxes of approx. 100 slides each, in turn stored in a file case. In very good condition. A fine resource for any Civil War historian or researcher.
