CLAYTON KNIGHT (1891-1969) American aviator during World War I, later an aviation artist and illustrator, creator of the comic strip "Ace Drummond". Pair of unsigned original pencil sketches showing two views of parked single-engine aircraft, executed on the verso of a T.L.S. addressed to Knight, 1p. 4to., New York, April 4, 1944, from Henrietta Sharon on United Service Organisations, Inc. letterhead, inviting Knight to visit the USO's offices to discuss touring field hospitals. Shows mailing folds with minor splits, else very good.
