(1730 - 1779) Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Pennsylvania, elected to the First and Second Continental Congresses. Manuscript D.S. partially completed by Ross and signed by him three times: once "George Ross" in the body of the document, "G. Ross" at the conclusion, and also with an A.E.S. at the conclusion, 2pp. legal folio, Lancaster County, "Term 1757". Ross brings suit against one Peter Lock for his failure to repay a debt of ten pounds due to Ross' client, Peter Wallmer and now demands twenty pounds. The document bears Ross' signed endorsement, in Latin, at bottom. Light toning along folds, one bearing an old archival tape repair, else very good.
