An early Gettysburg recovered relic, a 4 1/2" x 2 1/4" solid bronze crucifix in only very lightly "dug" condition. According to a printed note of provenance included, the cross was: "...recovered from the Gettysburg battlefield Confederate field hospital near Henry Culp's farm house located [at] the end of Middle Street (Early's Division). [From] early Gettysburg relic collection Wade Museum". This relic was purchased by long-time local collector/dealer Joseph Ament. Very good.
