(1711 - 1779) Signer of the Declaration of Independence, a member of the Continental Congress. D.S., a printed six shilling banknote 4" x 2 1/4" signed by Hart on the face of the note. The note was printed by Isaac Collins in Burlington, New Jersey, 1776 and bears the seal of George III on the face, with a tobacco leaf and the legend "To counterfeit is Death" on the verso. Hart's signature is light but fully legible, note lightly worn and soiled, else very good. Ex: Kenneth Rendell, ca. 1960-67.
