Rare World War II-era propaganda poster, 23" x 30", printed by German forces for display and distribution in the occupied Ukraine. The poster depicts a laborer and farmer yoked together with a wooden pillory secured with a large lock bearing a Star of David, driven by a Soviet soldier with a pistol and stereotypically Jewish features. Above and below appears the slogan in Ukrainian Cyrillic: "Workers-Peasants Power - That's How the Soviet Freedom Looked!" The poster shows heavy folds and creases, with many chips and two large tears to the edges, and additional large interior tears repaired with tape and archival sheets on the verso, still a rare example.
