(1896 – 1982) SS-Gruppenfuhrer and generalleutnant, appointed by Himmler to head the SS Race and Settlement Main Office. That office was involved in the resettling of Germans in the Nazi-occupied Eastern territories and ejecting the native families from those lands. Sentenced to 25 years in prison at the RuSHA Trial in 1948. Partly-printed D.S., 2pp. large 4to., Berlin, Nov. 19, 1942, recommendation that SS-Unterscharffuhrer August Rosenberg, a farming expert, be promoted. Signed at conclusion. Also accompanied by earlier documents from Rosenberg, including his personal details and a letter from 1941 asking that he not be sent to the front.
