A fine signed item, a 5 1/2" x 7" card printed with a lithograph image of a B-25 bomber over the aircraft carrier USS Hornet, in commemoration of the U.S. air raid on Tokyo led by James Doolittle. The verso of the card bears the signatures of members of the Doolittle Raiders Association, including 24 of the original mission's crew members, Doolittle's son John, and Tung-Sheng Liu, who helped guide several of the mission's survivors who crash-landed in China to safety. In fine condition. WITH: RICHARD E. COLE (b. 1915) Doolittle's co-pilot aboard the lead plane during the raid. 12" x 18" poster advertising a talk given by Cole for the Indianapolis Aero Club on Oct. 21, 2014, signed by Cole at upper left in black ink. In fine condition. Also present with this poster are a ticket and program for the talk, and a DVD containing a recording of the presentation. Five pieces.
