(1920 - 1942) German ace serving principally in North Africa, he had 158 kills in 482 sorties. Marselle was awarded a Knights Cross with diamonds, rated by Galland as the war's best pilot, killed bringing in his crippled Me-109. S.P., 4" x 6" b/w, a fine bold black ink signature executed beneath a printed portrait mounted to the same sheet. Shows some toning to the edges, else very good. WITH: EDUARD NEUMANN (1911-2004) Luftwaffe offcier who commanded Marseille's squadron, Jagdeschwader 27 "Afrika", during the North Africa Campaign from 1941-1943. S.P., 3 3/4" x 5 3/4" b/w, a modern print of a candid photo showing Neumann in pith helmet and shorts while in Africa. He signs beneath the image in black ink. The signature shows slight brushing, else very good. Two pieces.
