Good lot of three items signed by notable U.S. fighter aces of World War II, includes: ROBERT S. JOHNSON (1920-1998), ace with 27 victories, the first in the European theater to surpass Eddie Rickenbacker's World War I record. I.S.P., 8" x 10" b/w, a modern computer print of a wartime photo of Johnson seated in his cockpit. He signs at top right in pencil, adding "27 Confirmed Victories". Very good to fine. WITH: FRED J. CHRISTENSEN, JR. (1921-2006), Johnson's fellow ace in the 56th Fighter Group with 21.5 victories. S.P., 8" x 10" color, a modern print of a photo showing Christensen in his cockpit. He signs boldly in black ink at the bottom edge. Very good to fine. WITH: WALTER J. GOEHAUSEN (1921-1995), P-51 Mustang ace with 10 victories. S.P., 8" x 10" b/w, a view of Goehausen in the cockpit of his aircraft, signed in black ink at lower left, with a second signature in the plate. Very good to fine. Three pieces.
