A great signed items incorporating all of the major patches worn by MARK CLARK (1896-1984), the American general who commanded the landings at Salerno and Anzio against the forces of F/M Albert Kesselring. Offered is a heavy cardboard display, 12" x 10", with four mounted patches described as "Patches Worn by General Mark Clark". Each is described: "5th Army, Italy", "15th Army Group, Italy", "U.S. Forces, Austria", and "Army Forces, Far East". Clark signs at bottom as "Commander in Chief, Far East Command and United Nations Command". This would date this piece to some time during the Korean War, after Clark had replaced Matthew Ridgway. Some surface soiling and toning, else very good.
