Great pre-war photograph signed by three of America's most important military aviators. The 9 1/4" x 6 3/4" photo of a biplane bears signatures with rank of CLAIRE CHENNAULT (1890-1958) Army aviator who established the volunteer-staffed Flying Tigers to fight the Japanese invasion of China, HENRY H. "HAP" ARNOLD (1886 - 1950), commander of the Army Air Force through most of World War II, instituting the daylight bombing raids on Germany, and HOYT S. VANDENBERG (1899-1954), Deputy Air Commander in Chief of the Allied Expeditionary Forces and the Commander of its American air component, also commander of the Ninth Air Force. Fine.
