(1893 - 1946) Nazi foreign minister, the first of the Nuremberg defendants to hang on October 16, 1946. Fine association A.L.S., 1p. 4to., [n.p., n.d., Nuremberg, ca. October, 1945], in pencil to his U.S. Army interrogator, Col. Howard A. Brundage. In part: "...Referring to yesterday's interrogation could I see you again in the matter we discussed last? I would be much obliged..." Boldly written and signed. At bottom in another hand is a note advising that a "Mrs. Granger", possibly Brundage's secretary, had been notified on Oct. 10, 1945. File holes at top, else fine.
