(1900 - 1946) Nazi occupational Governor of Poland partly responsible for the genocide perpetrated there. Good association T.L.S. as President of the Academy for German Law on official letterhead, 1p. 4to., Berlin, May 13, 1937 to State Secretary OTTO MEISSNER (1880-1953), who served as Reichsminister and Minister of the Presidential Chancellery. Following a visit by Polish Minister of Justice Witold Grabowski to Berlin, Frank warmly thanks Meissner, a fellow attorney, for having offered his complete support during the visit and for his attention to the interested of the academy in general. Boldly signed in full at conclusion. Left side trimmed a bit, with upper-right corner clipped, else very good. SOLD WITH: Frank's personal calling card as Bavarian Minister of Justice which he carries at the time. WITOLD GRABOWSKI (1898-1966) was the last minister of justice before the Germans invaded. He then joined the Polish Armed Forces in the West, and served in the British army during the Libyan campaign. He would remain in Africa as a teacher until nearly the end of his life.
