(1882 - 1946) German field marshal and army chief of staff under Adolf Hitler, convicted of war crimes and executed at Nuremburg. War-date T.L.S. on his official OKH letterhead, 1p. 4to., "Fuhrerheadquarters", Oct 11, 1944. In a lengthy administrative letter, Keitel informs Generalstabsintendant MAX HAGL (1886-1967) that under new military staffing orders, he must be placed on the Fuhrer-Reserve list, and that if he seeks a medical discharge he must present a certificate to the personnel office. Folds, else fine condition.
