T.L.S., 1p. 4to., Washington, D.C., Jan. 18, 1945, to Mrs. Melba Fulk, transmitting his condolences on the death of her husband, Motor Machinist's Mate Edward Charles Fulk, on Nov. 30, 1944. He signs at the conclusion in blue ink. Shows original mailing folds, else very good. Also present is a second typed letter, 1p. 4to., Washington, D.C., Feb. 15, 1946, to a Frank A. Humphreys, a form letter offering praise and congratulations for his correspondent's service, on the occasion of his separation from the Navy. Forrestal's stamped signature has been applied at the conclusion. Shows original mailing folds, and includes the original transmittal envelope. Two pieces.
