(1892 - 1946) Nazi occupation governor of Holland and deputy governor of Poland, executed as war criminal. Historically important signed fingerprint arrest record of Arthus Seyss-Inquart, 2pp. 8” x 8”, taken at “CCPWE #32”, May 11, 1945 – four days after Seyss-Inquart’s arrest by Canadian soldiers in Hamburg. This document, almost certainly the first such record taken from the notorious prisoner, is labeled "Prisoner of War Preliminary Record". It bears prints of all ten fingers, as well as the war criminal’s title as “State Administrator and Lawyer”, birth date, address, date of capture, physical description, and distinguishing traits: “Lame left leg and limp”. It is signed “Dr. Arthur Seyss-Inquart” at center-right. Fine condition. Seyss-Inquart was being held at the prisoner-of-war camp in the Palace Hotel of Mondorf-les-Bains, Luxembourg, code named "Camp Ashcan". "CCPWE #32" is an abbreviation for the “Central Continental Prisoner of War Enclosure #32.” Operating from May to August 1945, it served as a processing station and interrogation center for the 86 most prominent surviving Nazi leaders prior to their trial in Nuremberg, including Hermann Goring and Karl Donitz.
