(1887-1947) Slovak politician and priest, the head of the Nazi satellite Slovak Republic involved in the deportation and massacre of Jews, convicted and hung at war's end. Rare S.P. "Tiso", 2 1/2 inches x 4 inches b/w, a view of Tiso addressing the Slovak Parliament. He signs boldly in black ink at bottom. Very good WITH: STEFAN TISO (1897-1959) cousin to Jozef, variously Slovak Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs Minister and Minister of Justice, convicted of war crimes and given a life sentence. Partly-printed D.S., 2pp. 4to., Bratislava, Oct. 30, 1942, untranslated but bearing a typed letter but regarding policy towards Germany, signed at the conclusion in black ink as "Ambassador and Representative of the President of the Government". Shows original folds and a paper clip mark, else very good. Two pieces.
