Most intriguing lot of nine 4to. document pages recovered from the wreck of the German U-boat U-352, untranslated but primarily related to navigation regulations in coastal areas of Denmark and Norway, uniform regulations for various theaters, navigation buoys, orders issued to the Third U-boat Flotilla listing recent promotions, and most interestingly, the execution of a crewman of a minesweeper for going AWOL while on medical leave. The pages show heavy chipping to the edges and water damage throughout, but remain legible despite their submersion. Certainly worthy of full translation and research. The U-352 was sunk off the coast of North Carolina by the U.S.C.G. Cutter ICARUS, with the loss of 15 of her 48-man crew. The wreck still lies in 115 feet of water.
