(1897 - 1974) German politician and journalist who broke with Hitler and organized the Schwarze Front, exiled in 1933 and founded the Free German Movement. T.L.S. on his personal letterhead, 1p. 4to., Munich Oct. 21, 1959 to H. Keith Thompson (1922–2002), a New York corporate executive and a figure within American far right and fascist circles. In part: "...At the invitation of my brother, reverend Father Bernhard Strasser, I would like to come to the United States for the celebration of his 65th birthday, provided that I get a visa, which was rejected in a previous application...In the current international situation I can't expect the same old interest in my lectures in USA, but it does not seem impossible to book 1 to 2 dozen lectures. May I ask you to represent me...Another way seems to me via local (German-speaking) newspapers or companies...Finally my question: do you see a possibility that my new book EXIL could be published by a good publisher?..." Very good.
