Rare form letter completed by a Polish Jew who survived internment in a concentration camp, 1p. 4to. with equally rare transmittal envelope, UNRRA Displaced Persons Camp in Hasenhecke, [n.d., but April, 1927], to Trygve Lie, Secretary General of the newly-founded United Nations. Adasa Oppert fills-in and signs at the head a form letter which reads, in part: "...During the World War II I have had suffered in the German Nazi camps. There the Nazis killed before my eyes all of my dearest and nearest...21 months after the victory I am still in a camp in Germany, among the murderers of my family. The only refuge where I will be able to carry a normal and free life - is my old native country - Palestine...Take me away from the camp, let me join my brothers and sisters in Palestine..." Toned a bit at folds, else very good.
