PAUL VON HINDENBURG (1847 - 1934) German general and politician, crushed the Russians at Tannenberg and in Poland, forced to yield the Chancellor's office to Hitler in 1933. Fine association T.L.S. on his Reichspresident letterhead, 1p. large 4to., Berlin, Dec. 21, 1932 to WERNER VON BLOMBERG (1878-1946), Minister of Defense and Supreme Commander of the German Armies early in Hitler's regime. Hindenburg thanks Blomberg and members of a German nobility organization who have gathered in Hanover for remembering him and he sends his own greetings. File holes, else fine.
