Excellent American propaganda poster, 28" x 22", illustrated with an image of a rat emblazoned with a swastika and depicted with glasses and slanted eyes, clear references both to the Nazis and period Japanese stereotypes, nibbling on a grain sack labeled "War Secrets". At top appears the title "Starve him with Silence". A line at the bottom reads "This Poster is Published by the House of Seagram as Part of its Contribution to the National Victory Effort", with a Seagram's publishing line at bottom right. The printed signature "Ess-Ar-Gee", likely a pseudonym for Seagram's art director Seymour Golf, is embedded within the illustration. Backed with archival linen, shows original mailing folds, else very good.
