Unusual silver-plated presentation platter, 9 3/4" dia., decorated with a foliate motif around the rim and bearing the engraved legend "Zur Erinnerung von den Frauen der Ortsgruppe Buffalo, N.Y." ("In Honor of the Women of Local Group Buffalo, N.Y."), over a mobile swastika. This indicates that the platter was presented to female members of the pro-Nazi German American Bund, which was founded in Buffalo on March 19, 1936. The underside of the rim bears the maker's name "Arrow Plate E.P.N.S." around an arrowhead mark, with the pattern number "188". Some considerable adhesive residue is present on the base, while the platter as a whole shows tarnish throughout, else very good.
