Rare, good content T.L.S., 1p. 4to., May 27, 1938, from Julius Streicher's notorious anti-Semitic tabloid "Der Sturmer" to new subscriber Edmund Piesslinger. In part: "...We welcome you to the ranks of our fighters and wish that we can achieve, in faithful cooperation, the great goal of solving the Jewish question... Hundreds of thousands of Germans have been recognized by 'Der Sturmer'. Millions more must still be snatched away from the Jewish talons, and you too should be a collaborator in this great work, who wholeheartedly and with great passion fights the Jews..." A representative of the paper signs at the conclusion in violet indelible pencil. The letter is executed on the paper's letterhead, featuring its title in bold gothic script at top, with a derogatory caricature of a Jew over a Star of David at left, above the motto "Without a Solution to the Jewish Question, No Salvation for Humanity". The bottom edge appears the additional slogan "Without a Solution to the Jewish Question, No Salvation for the German People!". Shows original mailing folds, else very good. Also present is an unused "Der Sturmer" subscription envelope, showing a vertical fold but otherwise in very good condition. Two pieces.
