(1883 - 1945) Italian dictator whose fascist supporters marched on Rome, securing him power; allied with Hitler, after many military and political setbacks he was captured and executed at war's end by partisans. Partly-printed D.S. in Italian, 2pp. folio, Rome, Oct. 27, 1927, untranslated but apparently declaring a lieutenant of the artillery a "war invalid". Signed boldly at the conclusion on the verso in black ink by Italian king VICTOR EMMANUEL III (1869-1947), with Mussolini countersigning at bottom right in black ink. Slightly ragged at the left edge where disbound, with several dockets, else very good.
