Excellent signed book, "Day of Infamy", by Walter Lord (New York: Henry Hol and Company), 1957, First Edition, 243pp. 8vo., a classic account of the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. The rear flyleaf, title and half-title pages all bear the signatures of no less than thirty-five sailors, soldiers, marines, aviators and civilians who were present at the time of the attack, including Medal of Honor recipient JOHN W. FINN, naval intelligence officer GILVEN M. SLONIM, ED ROBERTSON, JOE KOWALSKI, CHARLES ESHINSKY, GERALD HAMILL, GEORGE V. MARTIN, ROBERT E. WEAVER, MIKE YUKAS, LAUREL G. FELDT, HERBERT TAYLOR, CHARLES L. TOWNSEND, JEAN LE BER, CLARENCE J.M. DAVIS, AMOS H. ANDERSON, BILL FRAZIER, JERRY MILLER, ROBERT KAUFMAN, and others unidentified. The book is also signed by the author, WALTER LORD, beneath his name on the title page. The binding is split between flyleaf and half-title, with some bumps to the covers and wear and chips to the original dust jacket, else very good. Should be seen.
