(1910 - 1982) RAF ace credited with 20 aerial victories, four shared victories, six probables, one shared probable and 11 enemy aircraft damaged. Captured in 1941, he befriended German contemporary Adolf Galland. His many escape attempts landed him in Colditz Castle. Signed book, his biography "Reach for the Sky", by Paul Brickhill (London: Collins), 1954, 384pp. 8vo. Bader signs in blue ink on a label affixed to the half-title page. This label is slightly separating from the page, with some bumps to the corners and some minor wear, chips and soiling to the original dust jacket, else very good.
