Good pair of 1938 pro-Adolf Hitler and annexation of Austria election ballots, each 8 1/2" x 5 3/4", asking the voter to choose whether or not to accept the Nazi slate of candidates and to approve the annexation of Austria. Of course, the "Ja" circle is larger than "Nein", and is marked with black pencil on both examples. Both show light folds and mild toning, with one showing small chips to the right edge, else very good. Two pieces. Parliamentary elections were held in Germany and Austria on Apr. 10, 1938. Turnout in the election was officially 99.5% with 98.9% voting "yes".
