(1879-1969) Chancellor of Germany and Vice Chancellor in Hitler's early years of power, von Papen was accused and later acquitted of war crimes. Good pair of signed items, includes: A.L.S., 1p. 8vo., Obersasbach, Nov. 9, 1966, answering a question from a young correspondent on the state of the economy and transmitting a signed photo. He signs boldly at the conclusion in black ink. Shows a mailing fold, else fine. WITH: S.P., 2 1/4" x 3" b/w, the photo mentioned in the letter above, signed vertically at left in black ink. Very good. Two pieces. Includes a typed translation.
