Good pair of World War I propaganda posters, both advertising the issue of "Liberty Loans", war bonds used to support the Allied cause. Includes: full-color poster, 20" x 30 1/2", depicting the Liberty Bell beneath the title "Ring it again". The poster continues: "Buy A United States Government Bond of the Second Liberty Loan of 1917 - Help Your Country and Yourself". It is labeled "No. 3" at bottom left, and bears the publishing line "Ketterlinus, Phila." at bottom right. Shows numerous chips to the edges, else very good. WITH: a second full-color poster, 20" x 30", featuring a vibrant depiction of Philadelphia circa 1776, with a large image of the Liberty Bell at top left. The poster is again titled "Ring It Again", and continues: "Buy U.S. Gov't Bonds", with "Third Liberty Loan" at bottom. It is labeled "8-A" at bottom left, with the publishing line "Sackett & Wilhelms Corp. N.Y." at bottom right. Shows original mailing folds and one or two slight chips to the edges, else very good. Two pieces.
