(1893 - 1946) German politician who began his career as an ace in World War I, rose to become Hitler's right-hand man and head of the Luftwaffe, finally captured and committed suicide on the eve of his execution. Partly-printed D.S., 1p. 12 1/4" x 17", Berlin, Sep. 15, 1933, a certificate of appointment of "S.A. Obergruppenfuhrer Luyken" to serve on the Prussian State Council, Horizontal fold, some soiling, else very good. MAX OTT LUYKEN (1885-1945) was an NSDAP and SA leader. He led SA Obergruppen II of Stettin, headed the SA group Kurpfalz in Mannheim, and then headed the SA Reichsf├╝hrerschule in Munich. Died in combat.
