(1888 – 1969) American general, most noted during World War II as commander of the 69th Infantry Division, which became the first American unit to come into contact with units of the Soviet Red Army at Torgau. War-date signed book: "Pictorial History of the 69th Infantry Division" (Germany, 1945), approx. 250pp. 8vo., heavily illustrated with a fold-out map of the division's movements bound in rear. Reinhardt inscribes his photograph at the beginning of the book to a private and signs with his rank. With a 69th Division shoulder patch. Fine.
