Large informal soup bowl, approx. 1 1/34" x 9 1/2" dia., featuring the overglaze crest of Luftwaffe chief Hermann Goering on the gilt-edged scalloped rim. The center of the bowl is decorated with a scene of a hunter observing a wildcat attacking a deer, titled "Der Heger" ("The Warden"). The underside bears the incised and blue underglaze trademark of porcelain manufacturer KPM, over their red overglaze orb trademark and initials. It is also marked "6/73", possibly indicating its number within a set, with an additional incised mark. Shows minor soiling, else very good to fine.
