FRITZ WEITZEL (1904 - 1940) German SS Obergruppenführer, one of the key figures concerning the cultural aspects of the SS. His efforts helped Himmler with what he called the “arteigene Kultur”, which was the recreated German pagan religion. Killed in an Allied air raid. T.L.S., 1p. 4to., Dusseldorf, Oct. 30, 1937, to "Chef der SS-Personalkanzlei" ("Chief of the SS Personnel Office"). Weitzel attests that an SS-Obersturmbannführer Nohles is forced by special circumstances to remain employed in his private profession, and is unavailable for full-time service in the SS. He signs boldly at the conclusion in black ink. Shows folds, with file holes at the left edge, else very good.
