Good pair of original photo portraits, each 5" x 6 3/4" b/w, and each presenting a chest-up view of a Waffen-SS soldier in uniform. The first wears an early tunic with shoulder straps bearing a "W" device signifying membership in the Waffen-SS Regiment "Westland", comprised of Dutch and Flemish volunteers. His uniform further displays an unidentified combat badge and the ribbon for an Iron Cross, Second class. His collar tabs give his rank as an "SS-Rottenfuhrer". Bears an informational inscription on the verso in pencil, else very good. The second soldier's unit and rank are not discernable, and a pencil inscription on the verso offers no information. Both show some toning and mild soiling to the edges, else very good. Two pieces.
