ERHARD MILCH (1892 - 1972) Co-creator with Goering of the Nazi's Luftwaffe, promoted to the rank of field marshal, later tried at Nuremburg and imprisoned until 1954. T.L.S., 1p. 4to., Berlin, Aug. 15, 1938, to Alexander von Dornberg, head of the Protocol Department of the Foreign Office. Milch invites von Dornberg to a congress on aviation research, held October 12-15, 1938 in Berlin. Milch signs boldly at the conclusion in black ink. Shows folds, slight foxing, file holes at the left margin, and a paper clip mark at top left, else very good. A carbon copy of von Dornberg's letter in response, stating that he will attend unless he has been called up for military excercises, is also present, along with a second carbon referencing the conference.
