Good lot of three items includes an unusual partly-printed postcard canceled at Litzmannstadt, June 1, 1944, sent by the "Alteste der Juden in Litzmannstadt" to "Marie Eisner" in Prague. The verso bears a form in which one Rudolf Hirsch acknowledges receipt of 20 Reichsmarks sent to him by Eisner. Also present are two Litzmannstadt Ghetto banknotes, essentially worthless scrip issued to Jews in exchange for their Reichsmarks. Present is a 50 pfennig note and a one mark note, each of which bear images of Stars of David and menorahs against a background which closely resembles barbed wire. Three pieces.
