Scarce printed document (unsigned), 1p. 4to., [1935], on the letterhead of the "Judische Winterhilfe" ("Jewish Winter Aid") organization and addressed to a Dr. Kurt Landsberger. The document solicits a monthly pledge of RM 10.50 from the recipient, and notes: "...How great is the distress in our circle, everyone knows. It is therefore superfluous to speak of it. Everything must be done to relieve the most urgent needs of needy Jews in the winter months. We want to ensure food, clothing and heating for the poor among us..." Two receipts recording donations in November and December of 1935 are affixed to the verso. Shows file holes to the left edge and original folds, else very good. Early in 1942, the Nazis disbanded the organization. Its chief, Dr. Conrad Cohn would be sent to Mauthausen where he would die on Aug. 15, 1942.
