(1919-2006) U.S. Army combat medic, the first conscientious objector to be awarded the Medal of Honor for saving 75 men during the Battle of Okinawa. His life was the subject of the critically acclaimed 2016 film "Hacksaw Ridge". A.N.S. on a 1 1/2" x 2" sticky note in black ink, in full: "If interested - I have a book 'The Unlikeliest Hero' of my WWII experience for $10.00 autographed and postage paid." He signs at the conclusion, adding his mailing address in Rising Fawn, Georgia. In fine condition.
