(1890 - 1945) Nazi leader and ardent anti-Semite who as head of the German Labor Front ruthlessly enforced slave labor policies. He committed suicide in his jail cell at Nuremberg while awaiting trial. S.P. "Dr. R. Ley", 4" x 5 3/4" color, reproducing an illustration of Adolf Hitler saluting a crowd from an automobile, captioned: "Adolf Hitler reviews the S.A. and S.S. in 1927 on the Nuremberg marketplace." Ley and other Nazi officials, including Julius Streicher, can be seen in the crowd. Ley signs on the verso in pencil. The verso also shows later identifying pencil inscriptions, else very good.
