(1888-1972) American major general who commanded the 1st Infantry Division in its assault on Omaha Beach, in the drive across France, at the Hurtgen Forest and in the battle of Aachen. Good lot of five items, includes: three officially-issued War Department identity cards bearing Huebner's photo, fingerprints, descriptive information, etc., all laminated (as usual), each signed, issued in 1947, 1950 and 1964; Huebner's "SPECIAL U.S. PASSPORT" nO. 82855, issued 1958 in connection with service to NATO, with vaccination certificate, and his wife Florence's passport, issued 1946, which identifies her as the general's wife and filled with visas from throughout Europe. Very good.
