(1881 - 1945) Nazi Secretary of State, instrumental in the development and formulation of the Law on the Protection of German Blood and German Honor (Nuremberg Laws). These laws incorporated anti-Semitism as a form of scientific racism, and resulted in large-scale officially sanctioned persecution of Jews. Printed D.S., 1p. folio, [Berlin], Sep. 19, 1939, a certificate promoting an Alfred Demuth to the civil service rank of Councilor. The facsimile signature of Adolf Hitler appears at the conclusion, with Pfundtner countersigning at bottom right. Shows folds overall, with some bumps to the edges and corners, and with minor soiling, else very good.
