(1898 – 1987) German admiral and naval attaché in Madrid, Spain. The "Wagner Campaign" was named after him, via which from January to August 1940, tons of strategic commodities, mainly tungsten, were exported from Spain to Germany. Wagner was also signatory to the German surrender to Montgomery at Luneberg Heath. Lot of two signed items, includes an S.P., 4" x 6" b/w, a seated pose in uniform signed adding rank; with a T.L.S., 1p. 4to., Bonn, Feb. 19, 1960 in German sending the photo, mentioning that his papers had been lost during the war, and giving the address of another admiral. Fine.
