(1893 – 1945) Judge of Nazi Germany. He was State Secretary of the Reich Ministry of Justice, and President of the People's Court. He was also an attendee at the Wannsee Conference in 1942, which set in motion the Holocaust. Freisler was the most feared judge in Germany, hanging and guillotining "White Rose" and July 20 Bomb Plot defendants until his own death when a British aerial bomb blew up his court room. Rare printed D.S., 4pp. 8vo., a pamphlet printed by Berlin legal publishers Walter de Gruyter & Co., 1937. Freisler applies his distinct signature near the top of an advertisement for his work: “German Common and Commercial Law, Administration of Justice and Legal Policy” which further enhanced his already prominent position among National Socialists. Fine.
