(1880-1975) Austrian songwriter and conductor as well as a composer of operettas and film music, for which he was twice nominated for an Academy Award. Good lot of seven signed items, includes: bold signature in black ink on the second page of a 4pp. 4to. score for his "Philatelisten Walzer" ("Philatelist Waltz"); T.L.S. in German, 1p. 4to., Vienna, July 27 1973, to Hans J. Mueller, thanking his correspondent for his letter and a stamp commemorating the Apollo Program, and transmitting the above signed score, signed at the conclusion in black ink; T.L.S. in German, 1p. 4to., Vienna, Jan. 24, 1974, again to Mueller, sending his best wishes for the new year and thanking his correspondent for sending him some first-day covers as a Christmas gift, signed at the conclusion in black ink, with transmittal envelope; T.L.S., 1p. 4to., Vienna, June 9, 1972, again to Mueller, thanking him for his interest in the "Philatelist Waltz", signed at the conclusion in black ink; signature in black ink on the verso of a 5 3/4" x 4" postcard featuring a composite photo of Stolz and locations relevant to his career; signatures in black ink on a pair of first-day covers, 6" x 4 1/4" and 5 3/4" x 4", honoring his career. Sold with two transmittal covers and an uncancelled Austrian stamp honoring Stolz. All very good. Seven signed pieces.
