MIROSLAV FERIC (1915 – February 14, 1942), was a Polish fighter pilot, the 8th-ranked Polish ace of World War II who fought in his native Poland, France, and in the U.K. Feric flew with R.A.F. 303 Squadron and he was killed at RAF Northolt after his Spitfire broke up at 3,000 feet. Rare partial D.S., 1p. 12mo., [n.p., n.d. but certainly U.K., and of war date), a portion of a combat report. In part: "...At a height of 18,000 ft. SE of Gravesend we intercepted about 150 to 200 E.A. After attacking the bombers I was engaged by Me 190's and 110's...I approached to about 100 to 80 yds before firing a burst at a ME 110, which immediately burst into flames and fell into the clouds out of control..." Fine. Meric features prominently in the films "Mission of Honor" (U.S.) and "Hurricane" (U.K.).
