Pair of items signed by crew members of "STRAIGHT FLUSH", which served as the weather recon vessel over Hiroshima on the day the city was destroyed, Aug. 6, 1945. Included is an S.P., 5 x 7 in. b/w, the aircraft's nose art image signed by Pilot CLAUDE WEATHERLY, Navigator FRANCIS THORNHILL, Flight Engineer EUGENE GRENNAN, Tail Gunner GILLION NICELEY, Scanner JACK BIVANS, and ground crew members BILL JACKS, DON BEAUDETTE, and CHESTER CHUDY. Also present is a first day postal cover signed by Navigator FRANCIS THORNHILL. Two pieces, fine condition.
